Direct from Piraeus to Victoria — no transfer required
Step by step
- 1 Find your gate
Piraeus has many gates (E1-E12). Your exact docking location is on your ticket. With light luggage you can walk to the station; from far gates ask if a shuttle is available.
- 2 Walk to Piraeus Station
The station is near gates E5-E8 (5-10 min walk). From distant gates (E1-E3, cruise terminal) it can take 15-20 min — or take a taxi.
- 3 Buy a €1.20 ticket
From automatic machines or the kiosk. NOT an airport ticket — the regular urban one. Valid 90 minutes including transfers.
- 4 Take Line 1 toward Kifissia
Same platform. Trains every 5-10 min. Victoria is the 10th stop (Piraeus → Faliro → Moschato → Kallithea → Tavros → Petralona → Thissio → Monastiraki → Omonia → Victoria).
- 5 Get off at Victoria
Ride takes ~30 min. Don't accidentally get off at Omonia.
- 6 Walk ~3 min to Ioulianou 50
From the Victoria exit go northwest to Patision (28th October) Ave., turn right onto Ioulianou. Number 50.
Pros
- Direct — NO train transfer
- Cheapest option (€1.20)
- Frequent trains all day
- Not affected by traffic
- Easy to navigate first time
Good to know
- Validate your ticket before boarding
- After 00:30 the metro is closed — bus 040 or taxi instead
- During rush hours (07:00-09:00, 17:00-20:00) trains get crowded — tough with big suitcases
- Piraeus Station has elevators and ramps
